The Korean Government Scholarship Program (KGSP) is a system of receiving scholarships in Korea for international students. This program from the South Korean government is quite interesting, because you don't need to spend money for living costs as well as tuition fees.
To get a scholarship for this, you have to take a course for one year at your campus. This course is to deepen the capacity of the Korean Commitment. If before registering, you already have TOPIK stage 5 points, then the Commitment course requirements may be invalidated.
So, scholarship recipients who want to study in Korea must take up to 5 years to study S1 (1 year should be a Commitment course + 4 years for undergraduate studies). Although for the master's degree scholarship program, international students must complete three years of study (2 years of study + 1 year of Korean Commitment course). For S3, you should study for 4 years.

Prerequisites and Schedule of KGSP Registration
To know how the system of receiving scholarships in Korea, you must meet the following requirements:
Not a Korean citizen
Healthy physically and spiritually
Age below 25 years for undergraduate programs, and no more than 40 years for masters
Graduated high school with good for S1 program
Have a Bachelor's or Master's degree for a Master's program
Never applied to college in Korea
KGSP recipients can register again, only once. If you have received TOPIK grade 4, or have received a letter of recommendation from the Korean Embassy
GPA 80% and above from previous teaching
Registration schedule starts from October – November with the results announced in January. At the end of February, you should arrive in Korea, if you take the S1 program.
Although the registration schedule for the master's scholarship program is every March-April with the results of the scholarship recipients announced in June. Scholarship recipients should come to Korea in August.
Korea Scholarship Listing System
Following are the methods of receiving scholarships in Korea:
Fill in the form first, by selecting the available university. The form can only be filled out when the registration announcement has been legally issued.
Include the following documents, and must have been in the form of a translation from a sworn interpreter;
Report cards & high school diplomas, from the beginning to the end of the semester, the translation should have been legalized by the school
The birth certificate has been translated and legalized by a notary
Family card
ID card of parents and registrant
Two letters of recommendation from teachers and principals in the UK Commitment. This letter must have a signature and legal stamp. Put it in a separate envelope, then sealed by the author of the recommendation.
Personal Statement, regarding the reasons why studying at the university is like that, your advantages and expertise, and the reasons why you are suitable to get a scholarship in Korea.
The Study Plan contains the reasons for choosing a major and what agenda you will do after graduation.
NIIED certificate, appropriate form on the NIIED website
Copy of TOEFL/IELTS and TOPIK points (optional).
Passports of you and your parents (optional).
Health report

Scholarship Application Submission
After the scholarship application is eligible, the method of receiving a scholarship in Korea from KGSP is as follows:
A4 form document
Photocopy of all documents in 3 copies. Documents that need to be legalized can be legalized before being photocopied
Separate all such documents by the following method:
Envelope 1 (Mark the article “ORIGINAL” on the top of the envelope): Legalized documents + letter of recommendation
Envelope 2 (Mark the article “COPY” on the envelope): Fill in the document that has been photocopied in 3 copies.
Put these two envelopes in a larger envelope, and put the article “KGSP” on the envelope, then send it to the domicile of the Korean Embassy in Jakarta.
Generally get your documents, the Embassy will run the selection. If, there will be a notification via e-mail so that you can imitate the British Commitment interview attempt.
If you pass the interview selection, then your documents will be forwarded to NIIED, and by receiving a scholarship in Korea this helps so that you can study at an alternative university. The university just has to review the paperwork and decide if you are accepted or not.
