 Before helping people who are electrocuted, you should understand first how to do the right technique.  The goal is so that you do not take part electrocution.  To protect yourself when helping an electrocuted victim, follow these steps:

 1. Secure the zone around the area incident

 Before helping the electrocuted victim, observe the situation around you.  Make sure you are not near a power source.  If possible, immediately cut off electricity at the scene.  Look for electrical panels or fuse boxes to turn off the electricity.

 If the power source has not been can be extinguished, keep a distance of at least 6 meters from victims who are still electrocuted to protect yourself from sources of electricity.

 Avoid touching water puddles or watery objects.  Water that a good conductor of electricity, so it can make you electrocuted too.  If there is a fire, put out first use fire extinguishers.

 2. Call the emergency room

 The next step is to contact the nearest hospital's Emergency Unit (IGD) or call an ambulance so that the victim can can get medical help as soon as possible.  While waiting for help to arrive, do not leave the electrocuted victim alone.

 3. Don't touch the victim

 4. Don't move the victim

 5. Examine the victim's body

 If all have been safe, examine the body of the electrocuted victim carefully and sequentially starting from the head, neck, to feet.  If there is a wound, avoid touching it.

 6. Cover the burn

 Cover the wound with a sterile bandage or gauze.  Do not use blankets or towels, because could adhere to the burn.

 7. Perform CPR
