Types of Wounds

even though they have the same basic principles, the stages of wound care can be different, depending on the type of wound.  The following are the types of wounds that are commonly encountered:

1. Torn or avulsion wounds

An avulsion is the tearing of half or all of the skin and the tissue underneath.  These torn wounds can occur due to gunfire, eruptions, serious accidents, or fights.  Blood that appears as a result of this type of wound is usually fast and abundant, so it must be treated immediately.

2. Suitable wound

Wounds are usually caused by sharp and distant materials, such as knives, needles, or nails.  Although usually not causing a lot of blood to appear, this type of wound can break through the skin to hurt the inside.

In addition, stab wounds can also cause tetanus.  If you have dirty material, such as weathered nails, it is recommended to immediately check with the doctor.  Doctors will perform wound care to prevent inflammation, and provide a tetanus vaccination if needed.

3. Tear wounds or lacerations

Tear wounds can be in the form of sederhana blisters, can be deep wounds with an inactive structure.  These injuries are always seen when there is an accident when dokteriving or in function, for example the impact of an engine.

Emergency maintenance of this wound on the severity of nosebleeds and body parts touched.  If the tear is deep enough, the nosebleed may not be easily stopped.

4. Cuts and incisions

Cuts can be caused by exposed and sharp materials, such as razor blades, glass scraps, knives, or even paper.  In addition, cuts and wounds can be caused by surgery.  Similar to a torn wound, this wound care emergency is in the event of a nosebleed and the position of the wound.

5. Scratches and abrasions

Abrasion occurs when the skin rubs against or scrapes on aggressive or hard surfaces, such as asphalt or cement roads.  Although it does not invite many nosebleeds, this type of wound must be cleaned properly to prevent inflammation.

Proper wound management tata cara

Minor cuts and scrapes usually don't want help from a doctor.  The skin will be as healthy as ever with the following steps for wound care:

1. restore hands

Before performing wound care, wash your hands first with running water and soap to prevent inflammation.

2. Pressing the wound

Bleeding in the composition and minor injuries will usually resolve on its own.  if not, apply clamps to the wound with a clean cloth.  Position the injured body part larger.

3. Clean the wound

Rinse the wound with clean running water.  More or less the wound can be cleaned with soap, but not the wound, to avoid irritation.

If there is dirt or material stuck to the wound after cleaning, use clean tweezers (cleaned with alcohol) to remove it.

if there is material that is stuck, go to the doctor so that the wound can be cleaned completely to reduce the risk of inflammation and tetanus.

It is not necessary to use hydrogen peroxide water, red medicine, or diluted sterilizing mixtures that have iodine, because they can irritate the wound.

4. Applying antibiotic cream or ointment

Apply an antibiotic cream or ointment to help keep the base of the skin moist.  This drug does not make fast wounds healthy, but it can avoid inflammation so the wound care method can work well.  but if a rash appears on the skin, immediately stop using the ointment.

5. Close the wound

Wound bandages are used to protect the wound so that it is always clean and free from germs.  However, if the wound or scratch is relatively small, then it doesn't have to be bandaged.  Don't forget to change the pads at least once a day or every time the bandage gets undang-undang or dirty.

If the wound is deep, gaping, and there is fat or muscle, immediately go to the hospital or clinic for stitches.  In deep or dirty wounds, a tetanus injection may be desirable in wound care.  like that and if you have not had a tetanus shot within the last 5 years.

You should see a doctor if the wound does not look healthy, as redness, swelling, feels more senja, or there are ulcers that appear.
